Dr. Leslie Oluchi Nwoke
Dr. Leslie Oluchi Nwoke is a psychiatry resident (M.D) at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, and the co-founder of The Ruby Project, a nonprofit organization that provides programs for young women with histories of abuse and trauma. She is the author and creator of the “Transformation Project” series and creator of the “Transparency Circle” Live events. She was also the Miss Nigeria in America 2004, setting the tone for the organization on what a true Nigerian Queen should encompass.For more than 10 years, her work in community health and research have addressed mental health and gender-trauma related issues. Her dedication to tackling social justice, gender and health advocacy issues are far reaching including working with AGAR, (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) and TAMPEP (Turin, Italy) on health education and rehabilitation efforts for sex trafficking survivors.
Her work has garnered many praises; she was honored as one of “Top 14 Women Making a Difference” for Omo Naija Magazine, and recognized as “The Woman of the Week” in The Sun News, one of the largest newspapers in Nigeria. Dr. Nwoke received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D) from Ross University School of Medicine, her Master in Public Health with a concentration in global health promotion from George Washington University, and her Bachelor of Science in biology from Spelman College. She has been happily married to Okechukwu Nwoke, senior Knowledge Management specialist, for over 4 years. They have two beautiful children.
Chika Chukudebelu is the Manager of Original Programming at BET Networks, a Top 20 cable network. She is responsible for shaping creative content for the network’s slate of scripted and unscripted television series. Since joining the company in 2009, her role ranges from procuring new material for development to overseeing the development process with the network’s stable of writers and producers. Her keen sense of story is used in crafting creative for shows like BEING MARY JANE and THE GAME, the #1 rated comedy premiere in ad-supported cable television.
Chika actively engages writing, directing and acting talent to mine potential collaboration opportunities for the network’s target demo. Her leadership roles include running the network’s Film Festival Initiative and serving as the company’s liaison to the USC Annenberg School’s Innovation Lab.
In addition to her executive duties, Chika is the host and producer of the bi-monthly inspirational podcast, The Blueprint Show. Designed for the world’s visionaries and dreamers, the show features candid conversations with luminaries sharing the truth about their journeys to success. It aims to inspire authentic leadership in its listeners by putting up an honest mirror of the beauty and challenges that intrinsically come along the journey to success.
Prior to BET, Chika was the Creative Executive at Starbucks Entertainment, overseeing the company’s film and publishing projects. There she used the footprint of over 2000 Starbucks coffeehouses as a promotional tool to launch a number of film and literary properties. She started her entertainment career in New York working in film development at Killer Films and business development at New Line Cinema. She is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and resides in Los Angeles, CA. to bridal, beauty, print and celebrity work.
Born in Lagos State, raised Abia State, both in Nigeria, and now living in Atlanta, Georgia since 1999, Nina Ijere is a consummate professional in the fields of public speaking, corporate and non-profit board and staff training, business management, coaching and leadership. This stylish entrepreneur has made a name for herself as an International motivational speaker and people-mover with her one-on-one coaching and leadership trainings. Her unique combination of skills and innate creativity has earned her an impeccable reputation and tremendous success on the business and speaking circuit.
She enjoys helping medium and small business owners grow their bottom line by enriching their staff with confidence trainings and direction to leadership.
Nina completed her formal education at DeVry University where she attained a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Following that, she enrolled at Keller Graduate School of Management to pursue an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of Nina International LLC, a professional speaking and consulting company. Through her Prostad Training Program, she provides business management, corporate and human capacity development trainings. She is a power member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) and has been featured in several magazines – Trendy Magazine, Applause Magazine, and Acumen Business Magazine – including online articles both in the US and abroad.
Nina has collaborated with the Akwa Ibom State Youth Ministry to provide leadership and entrepreneurial training for young enterprising ladies and gentlemen in Nigeria. She has also conducted and hosted several leadership and business boot camp workshops including one-on-one coaching sessions. Ijere has produced and published a self-help audio CD entitled, “7 Ways to Unlock and Leverage Your Passion” which is currently available on her website. She has spoken on various platforms – a graduation keynote speaker, guest speaker at various non-profit organizations’ events, Niger Delta Young Professionals Summit, the Inauguration of the Southwest Executive Branch of the Nigerian Young Professionals Forum to mention a few.
Nina is currently working to fine tune a new non-profit project, Young African Girls Foundation, whose vision is to empower young girls by building their confidence through education and personal development thus equipping them with the knowledge and skills to succeed. Nina is happily married to husband Kelechi Otuka as they both enjoy traveling, dancing, reading and drinking fine teas. Her ultimate goal is to make a formidable impact in the world helping people find the leader in themselves while growing their passions, increasing their abilities and ultimately living extraordinary lives!
Florence Fasan is a certified career coach, image and etiquette consultant. She founded the company Flo-Fix Image Consulting in 2009 from her passion for fashion and appearance. In her walk to be purpose driven she started a group Image Without Abuse on Facebook to empower women. She has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management.
Florence Fasan offers consultation to women in domestic violence shelters by empowering and helping them gain their confidence. She also assists the shelter with clothing and personal needs. Florence also specializes in image and etiquette for youth. Her determination to “catch” the kids early to groom and prepare them to lead, has made this a success. She holds seminars and workshops to assist them in being the best representation of them self in this fast era.
She is also an author of a best-selling book. Her burning passion to find answers that will help others thrive is her purpose for this compelling, inspiring, and thought provoking book – The Aha
