ChiChi Emeson – Executive Producer/Director
ChiChi Dike Emeson serves as the Executive Producer and Director of the Miss Nigeria in America 2015 Pageant. ChiChi continues to dedicate her life to fighting for justice for women, creating awareness on health issues and fighting for peace and quality of life in Nigeria.
The Miss Nigeria in America Pageant is a tool she uses to educate women on Nigeria and teach them how to advocate for justice, be role models for young women and take a stand in society to ensure the betterment for women. She is personally committed to empowering women, to help them battle self-esteem issues, realize their potentials and take charge of their lives.
Ivy Okoro – Pageant/Delegate Coordinator
Ivuoma “Ivy” Okoro (Former Miss Benue State 2013 & MNIA’s Miss Congeniality 2013) is a rising star Performing Arts & Communications professional from Houston, Texas who blends her habits for creativity, professionalism and unforgettable impressions into many of her recognized events, projects and community initiatives. As a lifelong Houstonian and the daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Ivy knows first-hand about the culture and energy of one of America’s most diversified cities, and all of the potential opportunities that has everyone moving down south! Therefore, the University of Houston graduate makes it her job to be front and center to help people come together and create incredible experiences, while building lasting relationships.
From emceeing major events, to consulting clients and organizations on their ideas, Ivy’s experience touches many avenues and continues to constantly expand daily. Some of the highlights of her career to date includes serving as the Senior Conference Coordinator for the 2014 Entrepreneurship Education & Effective Leadership Conference (NSB Worldwide), and the Public Relations Officer for African Fashion Week Houston 2014 (Fall of Signature Essence- FOSE). In addition, Ivy has continued to build relationships with notable organizations and individuals working in various industries and professions. Currently, Miss Okoro is exploring the opportunity of becoming a full-time entrepreneur so that she fully give her clients the time, personalization and treatment that they deserve! When she is not busy taking over the world, she gives her time to various community, international and non-profit organizations like the Clean Water for Uganda Project, and pursues her own personal passions as a vocalist, writer, lifestyle maven, and public speaker. Finally, Miss Okoro is a 2015 Award Recipient of the Young Houston Magazine’s “Top 100 Young Professional in Houston” (April 2015).
Chinonso Nwogu is the Executive Assistant to the CEO of MNIA, Inc. She joined MNIA in 2012 and provides confidential executive level support to the CEO. In addition, she serves as a program coordinator for MNIA programs and manages all administrative functions within the Executive office of MNIA, Inc. Born in the Eastern part of Nigeria, she is the third of four children and is a current student at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). An avid supporter of youth empowerment, Chinonso realized the need for the students in CSUN to learn about the rich culture of Nigeria. This need, inspired her to create the Nigerian Students Association (NSA). The objective of the association will be to teach the positive aspects of Nigeria and encourage female leadership. One of her goals in life is to inspire young girls to become confident in their decision and pursue their dreams without feeling dominated by the opposite sex.
She is also an advocate for women issues and women empowerment and plans to pursue a career in Law. Her schools of choice are Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. She derives her inspiration from Alexander Graham Bell which says, “What this power is I cannot say; all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it.”.
