About Michelle Nwosu
Michelle Chioma Nwosu, also known as “Chelle”, was born on December 19, 1987 in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. She is the youngest of three children. After transitioning to the United States in 1997, Chioma attended elementary, middle, and high school in Greenbelt, Maryland. Later Chioma attended the University of the District of Columbia where she obtained a Certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She pursued modeling, appeared in numerous fashion shows including DC Fashion Week and later started coordinating fashion shows independently. Currently, Chioma works for a Pediatric Nursing Agency as an LPN where she provides care for children with special needs.
In furtherance of her Nursing career, Chioma is currently attending Stratford University in Falls Church, Virginia for her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. Upon losing her brother in 2011 to Lupus, Chioma and her family formed the Jody Jaz Foundation, where she serves as the Public Relations Officer. The foundation has since been actively involved with the Lupus Foundation of America DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) in promoting Lupus awareness within the African community. Described by her peers as determined, confident, encouraging, and a go getter, Chioma wishes to assist those of the younger generation of Nigerian girls in crafting their skills to be leaders in their communities.
When she is not busy with Nursing school, Chioma enjoys traveling, dancing, shopping, watching movies, and anything adventurous.
