Nonyelum Nvene Ogbodo was born March 1, 1986 in Oakland California to Chief & Lolo Christopher and Ukamaka Ogbodo.  She is a graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Pre Law as well as a Certificate of Design pertaining to a Graphic Design concentration. She served as co-captain of the university's spirit squad-- NCAA Division II, was the publicist of the CSUDH Black Business Student Association, as is  an active member of both National Black Honors Society (Beta Lambda Kappa) and "TORO Athletics"-the campus's athletic department.
Taking great faith and honor in extending a helping hand to her local community, Nonyelum  is one of 3 founders of the Bay Area Nigerian Youth Association Incorporated (BANYA). BANYA, a non-profit organization used to cultivate Nigerian cultural awareness to young men and women. This is an important aspect of her life that she holds close to her heart. With dreams larger than one can imagine, Nonyelum hopes to continue to inspire young men and women to take a variety of roles in uplifting both their local and cultural communities. With the intentions of some day becoming a construction contract attorney, Nonyelum still plans to secondarily maintain her current profession as a graphic designer for advertising. Currently Nonyelum is studying in preparation for the LSAT, with the hope of gaining admissions to an exceptional nationally or internationally ranked law school.  Nonyelum Ogbodo will represent Delta State in the 2008 Miss Nigeria in America Beauty Pageant.
