Bessie Obiageli Kaine was born in Los Angeles, California to Minister Charlie Olisa Kaine and Mrs. Grace Kaine. A creative, business-minded, and spiritual individual, she graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in International Marketing.  She developed a passion for entrepreneurship from her father, who helped her launch Bessie Kaine Enterprises at the age of 17.  Her vision of looking beyond the U.S. and doing business abroad encouraged her to add a minor in International Marketing.  Bessie was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for completing the Cal Poly Pomona Student Development Leadership Program, and was recognized for her outstanding academic achievement by being placed on the President's Honor List and Dean’s List.
Many of her personal accomplishments include being voted as Marketing Director for the Annual Cal Poly Pomona Information Technology Competition (ITC).  She prides herself in her ability to assist in bringing people into the 21st Century via technology.  Bessie makes an effort to give back both locally and abroad and has volunteered her time to Habitat for Humanity, Braille Institute, L.A. Food Bank, various soup kitchens and relief efforts for hurricane Katrina victims.  She also assists with her parent’s non-profit organization, B.E.C.A. Charities.  “B.E.C.A.” stands for Better Education for Children of Africa, which provides donated school supplies to the neediest primary school children in the rural parts of Africa.
Bessie will represent Abuja in the 2008 Miss Nigeria in America Beauty Pageant.
